Functions

Functions available on the PERCEPT BC200.

Some functions are available directly through dedicated button actions, while others are accessed through the FUNCTION button from the camera home screen.

Standard Functions

These functions are available during normal camera operation.

Mute

Mute disables microphone audio for recordings and live streams while allowing video capture to continue normally, and is intended for situations where video evidence is required but audio should be intentionally suppressed. Mute can be toggled on or off using the MENU/MUTE button.

Covert

Covert suppresses audible, visual, and haptic feedback generated by the camera; when enabled, the speaker, status LEDs, and haptic feedback are disabled and the display remains off during normal operation except during user interaction, making this mode suitable when operation requires minimal visible or audible indication. Covert can be toggled on or off using the SELECT/COVERT button.

Special Functions

Special functions are accessed using the FUNCTION button from the camera home screen.

Note

At this time, the only available special function is Snapshot Mode.

Snapshot Mode

Snapshot Mode allows a still image to be captured without starting a video recording; from the home screen, press the FUNCTION button to access Snapshot Mode, confirm that Snapshot Mode and the snapshot icon are shown on the display, and press the FUNCTION button again to capture a snapshot.
