Product Overview¶
The ION-R100S is a single-monitor Secure Display Station that decodes H.265, H.264, and MJPEG video streams for display on a Full HD monitor at up to 1080p resolution.
Connections¶
- Power Button (recessed): Turns the unit on or off. Use a small pointed object, such as a paperclip, to press it.
- Power Input: Connect the supplied 5 V DC, 4 A power adapter (20 W maximum).
- HDMI Output: HDMI 1.4b interface for a single display at up to 1080p resolution.
- USB 3.0 Port: General-purpose port reserved for future expansion.
- Ethernet: One built-in Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Base-T) port. Use an RJ45 CAT5e or CAT6 cable. The ION-R100S cannot be powered using Power-over-Ethernet (PoE).
- 4 x USB 2.0: General-purpose ports for an optional keyboard and mouse.
Note
The ION-R100S supports an optional USB-to-Ethernet adapter. Only IONODES-provided adapters are officially supported. See USB-to-Ethernet Adapter.

Additional items that may be required but are not included are a USB keyboard and mouse, an HDMI display, Internet access and/or a network switch, a surge-protected power bar, and an IONODES-supplied USB-to-Ethernet adapter.
Note
When unpacking, inspect the shipment box and appliance for shipping damage. Verify that all items have been delivered. Contact an IONODES representative if any damage, defects, or missing items are identified.
Note
The product serial number label allows IONODES product support to identify the device and its factory configuration when service is required. The label is attached to the underside of the enclosure.
